The 4040XP-Tandem-EDA is a non-handed extra heavy duty door closer with increased closing force for wider or heavier doors. Incorporating two LCN4040XP heavy duty door closer cylinders mounted to a backplate and linked with a hardened steel connection boss the 4040XP-Tandem-EDA combines the strength of two door closers.
Standard closer comes complete with a plastic covers and EDA (Extra Duty Arm) arm painted silver finish.

The 4040XP-TANDEM-EDA solves the problem of controlling a door which is either heavier or wider, it has the added advantage of having adjustable spring tension meaning the closing force can be adjusted to suit the application. The tandem mounted closer controls the door with hydraulic checks; adjustable closing speed (main speed and latch) and back-check to slow the movement of the door from 70° open up until the door reaches the auxiliary door stop.

CE / UKCA marking is not applicable to the 4040XP-TANDEM-EDA, Not suitable for fire doors.
